Yes — every hat we sell meets ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 Type I — Class C, G, and E — OSHA approved. The hydro-dip coating is applied to the exterior shell only, after certification. It does not penetrate the structural foam liner and has zero effect on the hat's impact rating. Your site safety officer will approve it.
No. Every hat is sealed with a UV-resistant clear topcoat specifically designed to hold up on real job sites — direct sun, sweat, scrapes, and all. The hydro-dip finish bonds to the ABS shell at a molecular level, so it's not going anywhere. We've had customers use theirs for years without the finish showing any wear.
